Tuesday is gone…just 3 more days this week – then it’s the weekend & CROCKETT football!  Yes, I love my HS football team – pretty much each & every student of mine that plays football has made sure to tell me they saw me at the game last Friday & checked to see if I’ll be there agian on Friday.  Of course I’ll be there!  My kids are crazy amazing – I seriously think the world of them!  Although they challenge me on a daily basis, I’m pretty sure I’m learning as much as they are along the way!

Highlights from today….

• Yes, a student can receive a $100 Disorderly Conduct ticket from the Detroit Public School Police Officer at our school.  Just believe me….
• My students LOVE their individual white boards I use to check for student understanding.  They seriously can’t get enough of these – they pick them up to use even when they don’t need to.  We’re still working on understanding why they can’t take notes on these…maybe it’s because they get erased and you need to keep your notes to study!  Today on these white boards, I got “I Love Ms. F” as an aswer multiple times and I caught one student asking another student for her number…..boy, I didn’t know that picking up a date in math class was the cool thing to do these days.  I sure have fun with these situations….
• The security guard has now become my personal assistant to deal with discipline…and I’m not complaining
• I received my first official paycheck as a teacher…I’m pretty excited!
